Next Women of Country: Greatness Starts Today

"I believe that we were ALL made for greatness. To lead a fully engaged, uniquely directed, life lived to our greatest potential. It certainly won't look the same for everyone, and to pursue your own greatness, in fact, should never look like anyone else's. It is YOURS. Specific exactly to you. To spend our life becoming and being all that he created us to be. Sometimes, from the couch where we sit tired and weary eyed, taking a rest, that can sound overwhelming and impossible- as if we are being called to run a marathon tomorrow when we can barely make it to the stairs without huffing and puffing. BUT- I realized this last week while reading about #greatness that it must start TODAY. It is not a foreign destination to be arrived at- it can be right now. The ultimate version of you right smack dab in the middle of your day, TODAY. Every choice is an opportunity to be great, TODAY! Washing piles of clothing for your family? Nail it. Working a temporary job as you work your way through college? Rock that. Trying to eat right and get healthy? Day 1 is about to be awesome. Dream of being a CEO of the company you work for now? Today is your chance to kill your assignments and soak up everything you can. Don't wait to start living. Don't wait to become GREAT!" -Abbi Walker

Next Women of Country Rock the CMA Awards

CMA Awards 2015

This year was a big one for many females in country music, from Kelsea Ballerini's first performance on the CMA stage and more than 15 female nominations this year I can see a future for women in country in years to come.

Like every year major artists, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, take to the stage performing, winning, and representing women in country. But this year has shown that their inspiration has been captured by many new up and coming artists, with nominees this year including Maddie and Tae, Kacey Musgraves, and Kelsea Ballerini. Maddie and Tae surprised us all tonight with a win for music video of the year.

And it gets better, because these girls, showed up in style. From the baby bump to the beyond amazing floor length dress, Jana Kramer has won tonight's style award, but I want to hear what you think.Vote for your favorite dress of the night on my blog and I will make sure to feature it on my Instagram account @nextwomenofcountry.

Radio Disney Country has hired female radio host Betsy Spina, from SXM's The Highway, to host the new station including artist interviews and news of new up and coming country artists, including Maddie and Tae, Lucy Hale, Kelsea Ballerini, and more. This station plans to be a family friendly station, featuring some of the greatest songs and stories in music.

"I think it's absolutely brilliant." say Hunter Hayes of Radio Disney Country. "When I heard about it I just lit up with joy... it makes me so happy that there's something like this for us to find these new artists. This is a great place to come and discover something new and for these new artists to have a platform to say what they want to say and be themselves."

Jana Kramer Album Release

Jana Kramer has wowed her fans with her talented voice in One Tree Hill as Alex Dupre and on her first album "Jana Kramer" in 2012, well she has done it again and the wait is finally over. Jana released her new album 31 on October 9 with hits such as "I Got the Boy", "Bullet", and "Circles" released before to fans who preordered her new album. You can find 31 on Spotify, I Tunes, Pandora and more and the fans can't get enough of her new music. Kramer has experienced many monumental changes in her life and we are all so proud of her. From marrying NFL tight end Michael Caussin, to expecting a baby girl, and partnering with Optic White to promote her music and the CMA Awards Kramer has been busy and yet still was able to release a new album in the mix of it all. Let's just hope for some more of Jana on the radio and at the top of the charts.
