This year was a big one for many females in country music, from Kelsea Ballerini's first performance on the CMA stage and more than 15 female nominations this year I can see a future for women in country in years to come.
Like every year major artists, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, take to the stage performing, winning, and representing women in country. But this year has shown that their inspiration has been captured by many new up and coming artists, with nominees this year including Maddie and Tae, Kacey Musgraves, and Kelsea Ballerini. Maddie and Tae surprised us all tonight with a win for music video of the year.
