Merritt Whitley
Since the very beginning, singing and songwriting has been apart of Merritt’s life. Her songs reflect her life and personal experiences born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where she still resides today. Merritt wrote her first song at the age of 15, though kept it to herself until later in high school, when she was surprised with the positive response her music got. She enjoys writing her music, but mostly enjoys sharing it with the world. Now she’s currently working with talented producer Larry Gann and has agreed to perform this show for free. Merritt currently has 4 original songs on I-Tunes and her songs “Slow Dance” and “Goodbye” can also be found on YouTube. Merritt is performing in Portland on August 5.
